Founded by Alena Makagon, an interior designer and architectural photographer, the brand transforms these architectural principles into wearable art, guided by her keen eye for light, proportion, and spatial harmony.

THE NAME

The name MAKENA comes from the Hawaiian word for abundance—a state of fullness, prosperity, and joy.

For us, abundance isn’t about excess; it’s about the richness of experience, the quiet luxury of well-crafted objects, and the beauty found in thoughtful design.

Each piece of jewelry is a small celebration of that idea: abundant creativity, abundant care for the planet, and abundant appreciation for form and light.
